Nov 24, 2013 12:15 PM in response to amandac858by mterranella,★HelpfulBullocks to all these solutions. There IS simple way and I just figured it out. After searching many different times (on forums) to get ride of a few songs I just got frustrated with problems that might undo all the work I put in getting my favorite songs on my phone.
Here it is:
1) Turn ON "Show all music".
2) Go to Album where the song exists and notice the cloud option is there, even though it is already on your phone. Ok, you know how to get to the end from here. But for those of you who don want to figure out the rest:
a) download it
b) go back to settings and turn OFF "Show all songs"
c) go back to song and swipe to the left. BOOM
Can't believe this has been so elusive to experts (I am not one, not even close).

Nov 25, 2013 8:01 PM in response to amandac858by sld34,I had this same problem - what I did was go to Settings --> General --> Usage --> Music. Once in music swipe to the left under "all music." This will allow you to delete all your music on your phone. Then go ahead and re-sync your selected music from iTunes. This was the only way I was able to sync my new playlists and delete some songs I didn't want on my phone. Hope this helps!

Nov 26, 2013 7:02 AM in response to amandac858by daviddiiako,Hello,
I had this problem and it took me a while to figure it out. First go to settings>music>and shut off the "Show all music" tab.
Then go to itunes and create a playlist with the tracks you don't want. Once created and all your unwanted music is in the playlist, redone load all the music. Once they have downloaded swipe right to left and hit delete.
It's a weird process, but it works.
All good things...

Dec 2, 2013 1:42 AM in response to 95bullsby acysteven,If you make it a habit to regularly sync your music, then you can safely delete songs on your iPhone, freeing up valuable space.
Whether you need to free up some space, or are just tired of a song or artist, there are times when you want to dump the music on your iPhone. This article will show you how to do that with minimal fuss.
There is a good article to read: http://www.iphone-mac.com/iphone-data-eraser.html

Dec 4, 2013 6:35 AM in response to amandac858by smagdiel,I have tried every option listed here and it works...until I sync again, then it will put them all back on my phone and will not download the music I want to put there unless I follow these steps again. I have my itunes account set to only sync a specific music file, but it won't download any of those songs unless I purchased them directly from itunes. I am really getting tired of having to deal with this. The songs that keep showing up are not songs I want on my phone, and are not just songs that I purchased. It has several songs that I downloaded from a personal CD that we have at home, they are okay songs, but not anything that I would purposely pay for, yet it keeps putting these songs on my phone; all on the cloud.
I don't even want the cloud, I do not care for it and I don't need it. I tried to delete that account, but then it warns me that all of my data stored there will be lost. This is not right. I am really tired of this. I am ready to switch to a different smart phone and give up on Apple.I just found this: http://helpios7.com/remove-songs/ If this does not work, I am trading my phone in. Hope you all have better luck than I have had.

Dec 4, 2013 7:21 AM in response to amandac858by DeludedBrit,What complete garbage this update is...wish I'd never done it.
I can't get rid of albums on my i-phone..when I try to upload albums from my Macbook Pro it uploads some I never checked...unbelievable.
What a bloody shambles...Apple should realize that not everyone is a teenager who only downloads songs. Some of us have large album collections which we need to download/remove at will.
But you can't delete entire albums...Brilliant,you muppets,you really couldn't make this up.Pathetic.
Apple should be horse whipped for such a shoddy product...there's a sea change going on at Apple and it's not for the good.

Dec 4, 2013 7:25 AM in response to amandac858by DeludedBrit,And I won't even begin to mention how it screws around with album artwork...
It really is a shoddy product.

Dec 4, 2013 8:17 AM in response to amandac858by DeludedBrit,Now it will only download the first one or two tracks from an album....sometimes and then not at all.
I am really beginning to despise Apple.

Dec 6, 2013 10:42 PM in response to dauntless5183by ashtonavocado,You sadly can't seem to "undownload" it from your phone. What I did when I realized the songs didn't go away even when I'd deleted everything was I went to Settings > Music and then I switched off "Show All Music" which won't display the songs you have in iCloud. It seemed to get rid of my problem.
