Nov 25, 2013 7:26 AM in response to GNIL1by Mulderscully,Solved my issue...
I had almost 100 Keynotes in iCloud, some of which were created with iWork 08.
I used my Macbook to move all of the Keynotes to the desktop and then deleted all of the files in iCloud so that iCloud was empty.
I then reinstalled Keynote on my iPad (deleted and then re-downloaded)
The updated Keynote opened with no problem.
I then uploaded only a few recent Keynote files. No problems. Keynote on the iPad is now running smoothly.
I'm guessing the crashing has something to do with older Keynote files hanging up the new Keynote and iCloud.
1. So the suggestion would be to remove all of your Keynote files and save them locally.
2. Re-install Keynote on the iPad.

Nov 25, 2013 8:04 PM in response to amsgby JHO1970,I read your solution but am still having trouble w/the PAGES app for my iPhone5 and iPad3. Up until ~ 2d ago both apps were working fine. I was able to review / edit / upload / download all my documents from PAGES w/out any problem. Then all of a sudden the APP crashes. I open the APP and it immediately closes. I can only access PAGES from my MAC. Have you figured out the solution in a few easy idiot proof steps?
Thanks for your assistance.

Nov 25, 2013 8:24 PM in response to JHO1970by iGeekPhonePad,They say you can find and delete empty folders from the mobile folder in iCloud on a Mac. I don't have a Mac so I'm sol. Give it a try if you have a Mac.

Nov 25, 2013 11:11 PM in response to iGeekPhonePadby Monkey Bill,Have you tried amsg's solution as follows, this worked for me but I also had to delete old iwork '09 or older files from icloud altogether to get mine to work;
(1) quit the iWorks apps on my Mac and turn off iCloud syncing for the iWorks apps on my iOS devices
(2) copy/move the Pages/Numbers/Keynotes folders from the Mobile Documents Folder (MDF) on my Mac to the Desktop
(3) restart the iWorks apps on my Mac when no iWorks Folders were left in the MDF
(4) restarting the iWorks apps on my Mac created new empty iWorks Folders in the MDF
(5) copy the iWorks files from the Desktop back to their corresponding folders in the MDF
(6) restart iCloud syncing for the iWorks apps on my iOS devices
(7) the iCloud documents started appearing again on my iOS devices
Many thanks to amsg for getting me on this track.

Nov 30, 2013 7:12 AM in response to Monkey Billby brncofan7,Unfortunately this didn't solve the problem for me with Pages, it continues to crash whenever I hit step 6. Not expecting any answers, but it's a tad bit frustrating to say the least.
Note: This is only impacting my iPad, Pages on iPhone is just fine. I've also uninstalled/reinstalled on the iPad to no avail.

Nov 30, 2013 7:16 AM in response to brncofan7by GNIL1,Me to.
Pages is still painfully slow. With the bug fixes and stability updates doing nothing.
Phone seems better. But the pad is still really slow and very frustrating to use.
Please please please try and rectify these issues Apple.

Nov 30, 2013 8:43 AM in response to GNIL1by scottyross,The other thing that I've realized in recent days is that if you use multiple mac computers, you need to clean out the Pages mobile documents folder on each machine. I went in and ridded the folders of any documents that were either BLANK or that I was no longer using. I am now 4 days in after doing this and the pages app on my iPad and iPhone is running smoothly. Just not sure why Apple has not addressed this at this point. Shouldn't be this much work to have one of Apple's main app's running smoothly.

Dec 3, 2013 3:20 AM in response to GNIL1by WyKazza,Every time I opened pages on iPhone 5 or iPad it shut back down in seconds. I went to Pages In the settings menu, turned off iCloud, opened the app and saved the files to my device.
Then went back and turned iCloud back on. Now my pages works fine again. Hope this helps you :-)

Dec 3, 2013 5:48 AM in response to WyKazzaby iGeekPhonePad,Don't have a Mac, so until I can use one to Login to and try and fix this I'm hosed. WyKazza, when I turn off iCloud I don't have any files on my device, which is what most people are experiencing.
And...Apple is totally silent on this!?!?! Don't they keep an eye on these forums? Morons...

Dec 16, 2013 3:13 PM in response to WyKazzaby GNIL1,I tried this and it seemed that mine was working to. But only for about 5 minutes. Then it:
CRASHED
WAS REALLY SLOW
TAKES AGES TO LOAD
TAKES AGES TO OPEN A DOCUMENT, THEN WAITS TO LET YOU DO ANY WORK ON IT
START TYPING AND IT TAKES AGES TO CATCH YOU UP, SO THERE IS A LONG PAUSE BEFORE YOU SEE ANYTHING
HIGHLIGHTING AND COPYING IS STILL FRUSTRATING
OPENS A DOCUMENT WITH JUST BLACK AND WHITE SQUARES
STOPS WORKING WHEN GOING TO OPEN A FOLDER, SO HAVE TO SHUT DOWN APP AND WAIT FOR IT TO RELOAD
SHUTS DOWN IF U GO TO DO SOMETHING ELSE AND COME BACK TO IT. SO AGAIN HAVE TO WAIT FOR IT TO RELOAD
SHUTS DOWN HALF WAY THROUGH TYING A DOCUMENT, SO HAVE TO START OVER AGAIN
I HAVE TO DO EVERTYTHING ON NOTES THEN TRANSFER IT LATER ON, WHICH TAKES AGES AND ITS REALLY ANNOYING DOING EVERYTHING TWICE.
PLEASE SORT THESE PROBLEMS OUT APPLE. IM GETTING REALLY BORED WITH ALL THESE PROBLEMS.
ANYONE ELSE AGREE?
Regards
GNIL1

Dec 20, 2013 3:41 PM in response to GNIL1by stevenscustomguitars,I had to open all icloud pages documents on my mac, save and when promted, update them to the new pages version.
I also had a number of .doc files that I'd exported so i dragged those from the pages icloud window onto the desktop.
Then I deleted the icloud account on the ipad. Then logged back in to the icloud account.
Now it works fine.
Finally!

Dec 20, 2013 4:26 PM in response to GNIL1by Antonio_Macchi_III,Finally working for me as well. I had to move all documents from icloud to a local folder on a mac, delete everything from icloud (cleaning docs on a mac), and finally move docs back.
Now I am just waiting for iWork to get back the full set of features it had on the Mac OS X and that is gets out of the horrible Beta on icloud.com.

Dec 21, 2013 3:22 PM in response to Mulderscullyby iGeekPhonePad,I didn't have to do all of that craziness, just followed a post elsewhere. I finally had access to a buddies Mac, logged in as guest, logged in the iCloud, went to documents, found a folder that had been duplicated from my iPad, Which was empty, deleted that folder and voilà all my iOS apps worked fine after that.

Dec 27, 2013 8:52 AM in response to GNIL1by p.ignazio,I've given up and am back to using Word on my PC. After two visits to the genius bar, I was told that I need to wait for an update that fixes the bug. Even if it does get fixed, I don't think I'll trust iCloud with any important docs. I lost several of them. Kinda wish the iPad had a USB port.
