Nov 25, 2013 10:33 AM in response to ÓrlaGby nobunaga1981,Oh my Godzilla...
That was it! That was the key: Authorizing/Deauthorizing the computer! I clicked on the [Authorize this Computer] option, and sure enough, I saw the familiar prompts to properly sync the media.
I apologize for the way I responded, but dead ends to some solutions tend to trigger anxiety attacks in me, which interfere with how I handle things and react to certain situations. When I calmed down enough, I gained enough clarity to google-search how to Authorize/Deauthorize. You helped me big time. Thanks a mil.

Jan 3, 2014 3:51 AM in response to Beaches Eternalby Akersalea,My favorite is iPodDisk. It mounts the ipod/ipad like a drive with all the albums and artists. By far the best in my opinion.

Jan 16, 2014 7:04 AM in response to Darion1Aby Arvid Tomayko-Peters1,signing out of the store on both my iPod Touch 5 (iOS 7.0.4) and iTunes 11.1.3 then syncing fixed the problem for music that wasn't transferring during sync for me. I've yet to see if it works again once i sign back in on both devices.
But my books and PDFs still don't sync properly - books i downloaded from the iTunes store seem to sync, but epubs from project Gutenberg don't and some PDFs do and some don't. Can't make heads or tails of it. Used to work fine in iTunes 10 / iOS 6. Maybe the transition to the separate iBooks app when i upgraded to 10.9 messed things up. But really, that's something apple should have tested and tested and tested…
This is all pretty absurd on Apple's part. The whole iPod syncing thing is overcomplicated and buggy. And it is a critical function of the product!
I like lots of options, but they should be logical, not arbitrary. And they should function as advertised! For instance when you want to change the way you do things (sync vs manual), it has to remove everything from the iPod, etc. That's like a big middle finger to the user - do it our way or else…

Mar 18, 2014 9:11 AM in response to Darion1Aby Wounded Skier,I just bought a new Ipod Touch 5 and had the same issues and tried to restore and still not luck - by accident I noticed music match is automatically turned on and I have a lot of song Itunes would never have in their store so I turned it off and turned off Icloud. Again I have way too much music for Icloud. It worked - I can sync and all my music came over!

May 13, 2016 7:56 AM in response to Darion1Aby Aks_Delhi,I had the same problem with my old iPod (iPod Classic). one day suddenly it stopped syncing any new songs and after i restored 2-3 times, it synced few songs and then stopped syncing. message displayed - iPod sync is complete.
I made a new iTunes library, downloaded few songs and tried syncing through this new library. It worked and iPod was able to sync. Thereafter, I deleted this new library and then reopened my old iTunes library and tried syncing again my iPod. After going through the warning that 'do u want to sync through a new iTunes library' (which i clicked YES), it erased the songs on iPod and did complete sync of my 7500+ songs to the iPod.
This worked for me, I hope it works for others as well.
