Q: How do I burn a movie that I downloaded on iTunes onto a disc?

I bought a movie on iTunes and I can't work out how to put it onto a disc (for my use only, I don't want to watch movies on my laptop).

Youtube tutorials say I need software which I don't want to download as I would have to pay for it and with free ones, I'm worried about a virus.

PLEASE HELP!!!!

iTunes, iOS 7.0.4, Normal laptop, not Mac

You cannot burn a movie purchased from the iTunes Store to a DVD for viewing on a DVD player, if that's what you want to do. That's not been allowed by the content owners and hence iTunes can't do it and the copy protection prevents any other software from being able to.

As varjak paw indicates, that's not allowed.

One thing you can do, though, is buy an Apple TV and connect it to your TV. They're pretty inexpensive, and they can stream any music, movies or TV shows you have purchased in the iTunes Store. You do not even need to have your laptop does not need to be turned on, you just need a fast enough wifi network that the Apple TV can stream the video.

Obviously not the same as burning a DVD... but it's an option that's worth considering, at least.
