I wish I had known this before I had downloaded it. As I have already bought 3 ipods, I really cant see me buying another one.
The requirements are printed on the same page you downloaded iCloud from.

Nov 14, 2013 8:03 AM in response to Csound1by SNCasey1988,Yeah and hence the name of the discussion, I do have a valid Apple ID.
That wasn't my point anyway, you tried telling me that I was lying about purchasing a laptop with iCloud in it in March 2011 because it didn't exist. It clearly did exist, point proven.
The whole reason I started this discussion was to find out why I cannot use iCloud even though I have a valid Apple ID. I understand why now, but the link I gave did not explain that.

You are incorrect, iCloud was launched on October 12, 2011, you were not using it in March 2011.
iCloud is a cloud storage and cloud computing service[3][4][5] from Apple Inc. launched on October 12, 2011. As of July 2013, the service has 320 million users.[6]
The service allows users to store data such as music and iOS applications on remote computer servers for download to multiple devices such as iOS-based devices running iOS 5 or later,[7] and personal computers running OS X 10.7.2 "Lion" or later, or Microsoft Windows (Windows Vista service pack 2 or later). It also replaces Apple's MobileMe service,[5] acting as a data syncing center for email, contacts, calendars, bookmarks, notes, reminders (to-do lists), iWork documents, photos and other data. The service also allows users to wirelessly back up their iOS devices to iCloud instead of manually doing so using iTunes.

Nov 14, 2013 8:27 AM in response to Csound1by SNCasey1988,Sorry I meant 2012. If you look at your post in Feb 2013 you said it didn't exist a year ago. Which it clearly did.

Nov 14, 2013 8:30 AM in response to Csound1by SNCasey1988,I did, but you confused me by implying I was crazy and never had iCloud in the first place....it's all clear now but it was just to set you straight really...
Thanks for your time.

Nov 27, 2013 2:31 PM in response to Csound1by xXBelarusXx,I find it hard to believe that a windows machine doesn't come with icloud installed on it and the reason for that is because my last two computers, both hp, came with icloud already installed on it. They aren't used computers, I didn't download icloud and no one uses my computer because no one knows my password. That's literally the only reason I have icloud is because it was already on the computers themselves. Nonetheless I have this problem as well it says that my appleID is valid but not an icloud account. I don't have an Ipad, Iphone or a mac so really trying to login is a lost cause for me is what I've gathered reading everything here.

Windows machines do not come with Apples services pre-installed, someone put iCloud on your previous HP computers.

How did you open your iCloud account, you did not do it on your 2 HP machines, so how did you do it?

Nov 28, 2013 6:01 PM in response to Csound1by xXBelarusXx,Again both computers already came with icloud already installed on them unless its an option to add it as one of the programs that comes with the computer when you purchase them online. So no, no one installed icloud on my computers and I didn't so don't tell me otherwise it would be greatly appreciated. Anyway icloud pops up on the computers when I get on my computer telling me to sign in to use icloud, normally I just click close and don't bother with it but I wanted to check it out yesterday so I tried logging in but it said that my appleID was valid but not an icloud account. Again I don't have an ipad, iphone or mac so there is no other way for me to access it except my hp computers.

Nov 28, 2013 6:10 PM in response to xXBelarusXxby Csound1,As you have a configuration that is and was not offered by HP or Microsoft and apparently no other person could hsve installed it there is no way I can tell how it got their or indeed whether or not it is legitimate. So I can not assist you..

Nov 28, 2013 7:03 PM in response to xXBelarusXxby SNCasey1988,Yours sounds the same as me. iCloud was already on the laptop legitimately whether or not CSound1 will accept this, and yeah basically its a useless feature unless we have apple devices already.... :/ just another money making scheme on apples part.

Dec 10, 2013 9:33 AM in response to xXBelarusXxby Csound1,iCloud did not exist in 2009, your HP could not have had it installed before it existed.
When in 2012 did you buy the other one.
