Q: After running backup, iCloud not showing latest info in Contacts list

I have an iPhone 5 on iOS7 and have just run a backup (Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Back Up Now) but afterwards my iCloud account is still not showing the latest information in my Contacts list. Am I doing something wrong?

Welcome to the Apple Community.

Back up and syncing are not the same thing. For syncing to place from your device, you need to enable settings > iCloud > contacts.

Thanks Winston Churchill. Contacts are already enabled under my Settings > iCloud. Sorry I'm a bit of a numpty when it comes to technology - how do I sync my iphone to my iCloud account?

DID YOU EVER GET THIS Fixed?
I just bought iPad & the contacts on my iPhone didn't show up correctly. I updated on phone & that changed but the address didn't

Hi ... no still not resolved. My latest info is on my iphone so want to reflect this in my icloud account but I'm not sure how to sync my iphone with icloud? Any ideas?

The contacts on my iCloud account are not up to date. The contacts on my iPhone are the most up to date and it is these I want to sync into iCloud.

When you say your iCloud account, do you mean under contacts at iCloud.com on a computer or somewhere else.

Sorry yes my contacts under iCloud.com. When I login to iCloud.com on my computer my contacts are not up to date.

It sounds to me as though the contacts on your phone may not be in your iCloud account. You can check this out by looking in groups on your contact app on your phone, in my phone below, only the contacts in my iCloud account sync with iCloud, those in the personal and work accounts don't.

Sorry I don't know how to show you a pic of my phone, but under Groups it lists:

Hide All Contacts (in blue) - unticked or selected

YAHOO
All Yahoo! - this is ticked

ICLOUD
All iCloud - this is ticked

Untick All iCloud, this will then only display those in your yahoo account, these will not be synced with iCloud, how many are there.

I have about 100 contacts in total. When I untick All iCloud only 4 of these are then listed - 2 of these show in iCloud.com on my computer, 2 of them don't.
