Q: Just bought an iMac. It has connected to printer (icon on bottom bar) but won't print - any ideas?

Just bought an imac. Have connected a dell photo 926 printer and icon appears on bottom bar but can't get it to print - any ideas?

Is this Dell printer connected to the iMac, to the USB port on an AirPort router, or connected directly to a wireless network?

USB - the icon has appeared on the bar and it says it's printing but nothing happens

Does this printer work properly when directly connected to the iMac's USB port and just not when connected to the AirPort base station's USB port?

If so, then please check out the following Apple Support article for additional assistance on troubleshooting your printer.
