Dec 1, 2013 3:09 AM in response to seb101by feral777,Same problem here. MBA 2013, not connecting to wifi ater wake. As ppl said before problem started to occur after updating to Mavericks. I've checked it on many networks, everywhere same issue. None of the sollutions posted in this thread or other topics worked for me. Tried everything still wifi does not connect after wake. It is very annoying. Really Apple should fix this.

Dec 1, 2013 8:58 AM in response to seb101by chrismartinphd,Same exact problem here. TWO different 15" rMBP's: one mid 2012 (2.3 i7) and one early 2013 (2.7 i7) which was JUST purchased from Apple. On the older machine, the problem started exactly after upgrading to Mavericks. On newer machine, it had this problem out of the box. So, they shipped a product they know does not function correctly? Wow! Hmmm...
Fix this issue Apple!
P.S. I just had to recommend my mother not upgrade Mac OS on her 2011 MBP because I knew this problem would bother her enough that it just wasn't worth the upgrade. And, if anyone asked me about buying a MBP or MBA right now I might just recommend against it because of this issue. So, it's your rmoney $Apple...

Dec 1, 2013 1:08 PM in response to seb101by macfinch,Finally gave up and plugged my Mini into Ethernet. Should have done that earlier, since response is much snappier. No way am I going to install Mavericks on our MacBook Pro (or anyone else’s) until this problem is corrected.

Dec 1, 2013 7:09 PM in response to seb101by Usernj,One solution is to keep power cord on. Do not use on battery. Let me know if it works

Dec 1, 2013 7:24 PM in response to Usernjby dthurney,I posted earlier that this solution worked for me, From Reforger:
https://discussions.apple.com/message/23709012#23709012
But after giving it a few days I have to say that this solution improved the situation but did not fix it... in that if I do nothing then my Macbook eventually reconnects, but I still have to wait 30 seconds. (WIthout this solution my Macbook coud not find any Wifi Networks and never connected after sleep.)
Prior to Mavericks I could simply close the lid, then open it again to reconnect, there was no waiting.
Please be sure to send Apple 'feedback'.

Dec 1, 2013 10:44 PM in response to Usernjby macfinch,No, that doesn’t work. I use a Mini — no battery, always plugged in. Hard-wired Ethernet solved my problem, but that’s a poor solution for MacBooks.

Dec 2, 2013 7:43 AM in response to eakinm2by antipoet,Appreciate the suggestion but no need to repeat it. Some of us are disregarding it for good reason. Me: I don't have an extra USB port free most of the time - lots of switching devices.

Dec 2, 2013 11:54 PM in response to seb101by vincenzoP,eakinm2, buy a HUB is not the solution of the problem. Do you usually buy a new house instead of changing light bulbs?

Dec 3, 2013 5:54 AM in response to vincenzoPby eakinm2,Sorry for the suggestion but as this has been going on with MBA since its intro prior to Mavericks and all the rest since Mavericks, it doesn't seem like Apple is going to hop onto this anytime soon and it was offered as a quick but temporary solution.
Thanks, DVE
