The iMac has got 4 USB 3.0 ports, two Thunderbolt ports, an Ethernet port and a SD card slot. See > http://www.apple.com/imac/specs/

What Apple removed was the DVD drive in order to make the iMac thinner. In this case, if you need the DVD drive, you can buy an external disc drive or you can use your old PC's DVD drive as the drive for your iMac > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5287?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

If you want to transfer files from the PC to the Mac, install Windows Migration Assistant. Then, turn on the iMac and set it up until you get to the point of restoring data. Select the option to restore files from another computer and follow the steps. Make sure that Windows Migration Assistant is opened on the PC.

If you have got a lot of files to transfer, the easiest way would be to copy your most important files to an external drive, connect it to the iMac and restore them

Thanks for input ! Just another question though. I will be using this iMac for work as well and have alot of files in MS office, word, excel, etc. Is there Mac MS office ? And pdf ? Mac Adobe ? Just wondering what additional software I will need as well to complete this transisition from PC to Mac. Thanks again.

There is Office for Mac > http://www.microsoft.com Also, Apple's iWork and LibreOffice support Office files in case you want to try them. LibreOffice is free and open-source.

Respecting to PDF, OS X comes with Preview, which can open PDF files.
