I bought my current macbook pro off of a friend, he had barely used it and it's all good. However, the App Store seems to want to update iMovie, and only iMovie, under his apple ID. The icon on the app store is a purple iMovie icon, whereas the one in my applications is gold/black. Not sure if he has install a different version or something. Is there a way of either stopping OSX from prompting me to install this update, even though i can't, or removing his version of iMovie so that i can update it under my Apple ID?

Thanks in advance.
