Dec 4, 2013 6:24 AM in response to YeaSt2uby Michael Black,Did the adapter come with OS X drivers? Every USB-to-Serial adapter I've ever used with OS X required me to download and install OS X specific drivers for the USB-serial controller interface.

Dec 4, 2013 6:41 AM in response to YeaSt2uby John Galt,The only USB to serial devices I have used are these:
http://www.tripplite.com/en/products/model.cfm?txtSeriesID=849&txtModelID=3914
http://www.tripplite.com/en/products/Discontinued-Products.cfm?MDLID=3915#overvi ew
The latter was recently discontinued but is still available from other sources. Driver compatibility indicates nearly every Mac OS version through Mountain Lion but I have tested it with Mavericks and it still works. They are 64 bit drivers so I expect it would.

Jun 26, 2014 12:54 PM in response to YeaSt2uby Vic2491,The CH340 MAC Driver is now on the manufacture's site. CH341SER_MAC.ZIP See http://www.wch.cn/downloads.php?name=pro&proid=178. Although it states it is for the CH341 it also works with the CH340. I have not tested this on a MAC, I have only tested the Windows drivers.
