Q: our apple tv won't recogonize our itunes id

We have had our Apple TV for a year and had no problems until tonight. All of a sudden our Apple TV won't recogonize our itunes id and keeps saying to imput a different apple id. We only have one itunes id even though we have several apple ids on various devices. I discovered that our credit card that we had on file had expired but we corrected that and still can't get it to take our itunes id. We keep trying to input the itunes id and password on the apple TV but it won't take it. Please give us some ideas on what might be the problem and what we need to do to correct it. We have purchased the entire season of Modern Family, etc. and can't watch it!

    There are no outages reported but there are quite a few similar posts tonight.

     

    Are you able to login on another device.

     

    Have you tried restarting your router.

    We reset and restored our Apple TV and our router. We logged in to several other devices with our itunes account and no problem. We are going to try again tonight and maybe Apple will have updated the cc info. etc. But I have noticed other posts that have had several similar issues over the years. It is very frustrating though to have it work and then all of a sudden not work when we haven't done anything!
