I just got a new MBP Retina and wondering if Handbrake is useable.  I keep trying to download, but the site only lists 10.6/10.7/10.8 and no 10.9.  However, HandBrake-0.9.9-MacOSX.6_GUI_x86_64 come back with ... "Handbrake" can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.

Does Handbrake work with 10.9 or is something else needed?

Thanks

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9), 2.8 GHz, 16GB Ram, 512GB HD

I have handbrake 0.9.9 x86_64 running with OS X 10.9.0 without any problems. To be able to install you have to go to System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Allow apps downloaded from: Anywhere

Do not recommend this, it will completely disable a feature that avoid many headaches. Recommend instead: right click on the unsigned app and choose to "Open", while leaving the preferences setting as is.

It isn't free, but there is a try before you buy.
