Others have posted about iTunes having issues. You may have to wait and try again later. If not then contact apple and see if they have fixed the issue with itunes.

Is your phone signed into the correct iTunes account (the one used to purchase the apps being updated)?

Settings > iTunes & App Stores > tap ID > sign out (even if appears to be correct) > sign in
