Do you also have Pages 5 on your Mac?
Are you sure you haven't opened that by mistake?

Dec 6, 2013 8:48 AM in response to PeterBreis0807by Elysedee,I search my HD and when I put in Pages 5 some documents came up but
I don't think Pages 5. How would I Know for sure? This all seemed to start
happening when I updated to Maverick.

Dec 6, 2013 9:10 AM in response to Elysedeeby PeterBreis0807,Search for "Pages" in Spotlight not "Pages 5".
It should be in your Applications folder.
Pages 5 has a new orange icon and it looks distinctively different when you use it:
Menu > Pages > About Pages

Dec 6, 2013 9:41 AM in response to Elysedeeby PeterBreis0807,Pages 5 is not a great choice at the moment, it has so many features missing and problems of its own.
Pages '08 is an old version but it should still work, even in Mavericks.
Have you tried opening it from another User account?
If it works there it would indicate either a font problem or a damged .plist (preferences).

Dec 6, 2013 9:44 AM in response to Elysedeeby fruhulda,Elysedee, click on Go in the Finder menu and press the Option key> now you have the option Library > click on it > open the Preference folder and look for com.apple.iwork.pages.plist >drag to the Trash. Start Pages again and see if it works better.
