Q: Can I use a USB Flash Drive to upload pictures to my Gen 2 iPad via the Camera Connection Kit?

I need to transfer photos (many) to my iPad that are on my computer and need to know if I can upload from a USB Flash Drive using the camera connector accessory, as the original SD card was erased after the initial computer upload.

It may work. People report about 50 percent success with USB flash drives. The pictures will need to be in a folder named DCIM and will need to have 8-character filenames.
