If you can't put it into recovery mode, you should get it serviced or looked at by visiting an Apple Store next to your place or calling Apple Support:

I have iphone 6, macbook pro .. itunes 12.0.1.26
This is what you have to do..
shut off your iphone using the lock button.
Now connect the data cable to ur computer
then hold the home button of ur iphone and connect the data cable to your iphone simultaneously (YOU ARE DOING TWO THINGS TOGETHER)
A screen on iphone occurs showing to connect your phone with itunes.
Couple of pop-ups on itunes asking to restore iphone will show up.
Go ahead and click restore iphone after like 5-7 minutes your iphone will be set up to factory settings.
restore backup!
and you are done!
the reason that happened was the latest software 8.1(which i was updating to while this occured) had a glitch and it didnot download properly!
