+1. Since the release of iOS 7 and the latest iTunes update my Match has been pathetic. It simply hangs at steps one and two forever, and then when it finally starts uploading a song at step three my iTunes crashes. This has been happening for a few weeks now. I've never had any problems with crashing like this before. I've disabled Match, Genius, signed out etc. and it's still gone for a Burton.

At present my iTunes is a wreck.

elitsa, same was happening for me. After trying fixes that people recommended in this forum and at other places, without success, I eventually deleted the really big files from my library, and that got me going again. Maybe that'll work for you. Good luck!

I've had this problem for years, first on a 2009 iMac through all OS X and iTunes versions that followed.

Then again with a 2012 Windows 7 Pro Asus.

Again with a 2014 Lenovo Windows 8.1 Update 1 laptop.

I've given up and won't re-subscribe to iTunes Match when my time runs out. The Step 3 scan and crash bug is immortal.

Whoah. I've fixed it! I just had to delete my entire library, and rebuild it 30 albums at a time. I imported 30, updated iTunes match, then imported 30 more. I did that for several hours, sometimes quitting iTunes in between since crashes would often upon launch, and I didn't get any crashes!
