Aug 21, 2013 2:08 PM in response to the loc-manby randers4,★HelpfulTo change your iCloud ID, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID. This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account. To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.

Aug 21, 2013 2:48 PM in response to randers4by the loc-man,So you have to delete the account? Seems a little excessive purely to just get the correct email displayed. Other accounts on the iPhone, App Store, iTunes allow you to sign out, then back in, why not iCloud?
I'll have to backup photo stream in case beforehand then before I do this. Thanks for the help and instructions.

Aug 21, 2013 2:54 PM in response to the loc-manby randers4,You're welcome. It would be clearer if you had an option to sign out, but at least for now, that's how it works. You need to save your photo stream photos beforehand because they are deleted from your device when you delete the account, and when you sign back in you will only get photo stream photos from the last 30 days because older photo stream photos are no longer in iCloud. Saving them to the camera roll protects them from being deleted (and potentially lost).

If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
