Sep 24, 2013 3:38 AM in response to JillyLevby wjosten,iTunes terms/conditions require that you be physically located in the country whose store you're trying to use. Since you live in Australia, that's why it defaults to that & there is no workaround that can be discussed here...Apple owns/runs this forum.

Dec 1, 2013 2:24 AM in response to JillyLevby hwvlover, along the same theme.
I am based in the UK but go to Australia several times a year. Last trip I took my recently acquired iPad.
I could not access the local (Australian) app store so could not access any Australian specific apps, I wanted to get some of the local TV channels. Despite my location being turned on I always ended up back at the UK store and those OZ broadcasting apps do not appear there..
I am sure that there is a simple work around..any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Jan 6, 2014 5:31 AM in response to braveandby facile,Thanks for the ideas to change the store. I am in Australia and have an Australian account, however my ipad took me to the USA store when I was looking for a movie and when I went to buy the film I got a message stating I have to buy it from the Australian store and commanded me to switch to it. I tried going back to the Australian store to no avail. I have tried the above, as well as logging onto Apple.com and trying to change it there but the iPad keeps defaulting back to the USA site. Even tried restarting the iPad. Any further advise is welcome.

Jan 6, 2014 5:46 AM in response to facileby facile,Update: at the bottom of the featured page the AppStore I touched my ID then signed out then signed back in. It appears to have fixed the problem. IPad is slowly redrawing icons in the Movie App. I think another restart might help that out.

Jan 13, 2014 4:25 PM in response to facileby Buadhai,It appears that Apple has recently made a change in how its Stores deal with location. I have two Store accounts: One is for the US Store using a US credit card. The other is for the Thai Store (I live in Thailand) using a Thai debit card. Until recently I have had no trouble purchasing from both stores by switching IDs. I could update all apps without switching stores.
However, this morning the App Store commanded that I switch to the Thai store in order to update an app purchased in the Thai store and which is available only in the Thai store.
Plus, it refused to update apps that are US store only. It would update apps that are available in both the US and Thai stores.
I guess I'll have to wait until I go to the US to update apps that are US Store-only.
Additionally, and this is a big one, syncing my iPhone with iTunes now always fails. Apparently it balks at syncing US Store apps with my Thailand located iPhone. This has never happened before.
What a huge hassle.

Jan 31, 2014 7:02 AM in response to JillyLevby Luv2Go,I had this happen too. To change back to the country I am in (US) I did the following
1. Tried to install an app not available in my current iTunes store. In this case, it is an App called GooCal.
I went to the apps home page (http://iphone.metricscat.com/developer/matias-muhonen-2091/ ) and clicked install, then clicked on 'Use iTiunes'
2. iTunes gave me a msg that the app was not available in the current store, but was available in the US. I clicked to switch stores and voila, my store is now US. The app is not available in the US store, either so it was not installed.

Mar 14, 2014 12:42 PM in response to JillyLevby dbertovi,Hey guys, I had the exact same problem. I have two accounts - an US account and a Croatian account. I use Bank of America app (from US store) to manage my Us finances, but when I tried to install an update for it (and the update was mandatory), it warned me that I was in Croatia store, although I was logged in US Store (this app is not available in Croatian store). It seems that update is invoking this problem.
None of the above advices helped, and after tweeking, I uninstalled existing Bank of America app, signed in with US account, and installed brand new Bank of America app from US app store with no problem. Just as a reminder, it seems that only update of an app do this, I have no problem with either accounts when installing new apps. Cheers!
