Nov 1, 2013 5:09 PM in response to PicMacby Barney-15E,iPhoto has been updated, and the Library likely needs to be updated to work. Have you updated to the most current version of iPhoto and opened it to rebuild the Library?

Nov 2, 2013 12:13 AM in response to Barney-15Eby merciabcs,Hi Barney-15E, yes! I updated both iphoto and aperture. open both software to rebuild the Libraries and to verify that all faces are still there - everything is normal for iphoto, but address book doesn't recognize the faces.

Nov 2, 2013 5:46 AM in response to merciabcsby Barney-15E,I'm not sure what it could be. There might be messages in Console, All Messages, but realize there is a lot of stuff logged normally, so trying to sift out anything that would indicate a problem is difficult.

Dec 9, 2013 7:19 AM in response to PicMacby Yolkum,I'm having the same problem here with contacts. I have all my software up todate, but if you make a new contact and try to add an image to it nothing happens. The previous contacts I have that already have photos can be edited and have images changed on them, but any new contacts the photo feature does not work at all on the computer. Definite bug they need to fix.

Dec 9, 2013 7:28 AM in response to PicMacby Yolkum,Ok I just noticed something interesting. I'm running icloud for my contacts and if I create a new contact and it is part of my icloud contacts then the photo feature works, but if I create that same contact outside of my icloud contacts then it doesn't function at all. Anybody able to do this as well?

Dec 9, 2013 4:07 PM in response to Yolkumby Barney-15E,I do see the same result. I can only use Faces in iCloud contacts. I even have another CardDAV account and I cannot use Faces with that, either.
You have to have Faces marked in iPhoto or Aperture with the same name as the contact name. It will grab all the pictures that have Faces that match the contact name.

Dec 9, 2013 4:32 PM in response to Barney-15Eby Barney-15E,However, it sounds like you are using the same contact, so I'm back to not knowing what is going on.

Dec 9, 2013 5:14 PM in response to Barney-15Eby Yolkum, yeah, I was just clicking edit on contacts and clicking the photobox and nothing happens unless the contact is a part of the icloud contacts. The it pops open and shows your options.

Dec 9, 2013 5:23 PM in response to Yolkumby Barney-15E,So you don't get anything when editing the photo? No window of any kind?
Do you have any other editing issues with those contacts? You could have a corrupt index file that is not letting you edit them.
If it is not a corrupt index, a workaround for putting in photos is you can drop images into the photo frame.
