Was also not able to sync music. I turned off the wifi, unchecked sync music, then synced it to remove all my music. Then synced on back my music and everything started working again.
Thanks!

Dec 13, 2013 9:17 AM in response to hello_teddyby Boshie13,Yup - been struggling myself with this for two days. Unchecking the 'Sync with this iPhone over WIFI' checkbox and checking the ' Convert higher bit rate songs to 128kbps, button now syncs perfectly. Thx all!

Dec 13, 2013 10:35 PM in response to levidyllanby itsgoco,Still doesn't work. It's happened before, and it's happening again. Cuts off after 5 songs, & cancels sync. I don't want to resync all 3000 songs again :|. Apple still has yet to fix this issue, and it's been months...

Dec 15, 2013 3:17 PM in response to wildernesshikeby J2zing55,Thank you wildernesshike! It fixed my issue and was able to get the music on my iPhone 5. I know it's a temporary fix until there is a bug fix, but at least it worked! Thanks for your great outline for the steps to fix!

Dec 17, 2013 6:02 PM in response to mgoulby iHeartNYC0,This definitely did the trick. As i switched back and forth from the music tab and the summary tab. I found out that both do not remain checked. After i unsynced, i left the "manually add music..." unchecked and on the music tab i checked "sync entire library" and applied. and it definitely worked. Thanks!

Dec 18, 2013 3:56 AM in response to jasmclarby maggiebb2,This worked for me , go back to basics, take the whole lot of sync off , so you have nothing on phone , and then start again , but it seems to be the Wifi sync that did it .. A million Thanks !

Dec 18, 2013 8:29 AM in response to KovyRby christafromarlington,I've been having this same problem since I got my iPhone 5s back in October. New songs and changes to playlists are not syncing to my phone. I have to wipe all the music from my phone, and then re-sync to add it back. This is a bit time consuming, so it would be nice if Apple could fix this glitch! It seems like there are enough people having issues syncing music to where this is clearly a bug.

Dec 22, 2013 7:29 AM in response to KovyRby planning4ever,I too cannot get music to sync. I'm running latest 11.1.3 iTunes and iPhone 5 ... I've tried everything, including turning around three times and clicking my heels.
Any more updates on this issue?

Dec 22, 2013 9:01 AM in response to missblondieby itsgoco,★HelpfulHey guys!
I actually found a solution that's worked for me twice (so far). After trying everything, it seems to be easier than I thought. No need to restore via backup or anything. Beforehand, I've tried unchecking music, rechecking, turning off wifi sync, restoring purchases after a failed music sync, restoring, etc, etc. You name it.
Here's my solution that might work for the majority of everyone.
- Plug your iPhone into your computer, then go into iTunes.
- uncheck your music sync under the music tab in iTunes so all of it gets taken off your phone.
- After you sync it, and all of your songs are off (Shouldn't take longer than 5 minutes). Go on your iPhone, then Settings - General - go all the way to the bottom where it says Reset - Reset all settings
- This should just reset your settings, but it won't remove any of your data, messages, home icon/folder locations, contacts, photos, etc.
- After it's done resetting, and your phone restarts, go to your itunes, and sync again.
- After it's done syncing, recheck your music sync under the music tab on itunes (You don't have to reselect your playlists, etc)
- Sync your phone, and voila! Your music should sync back. It's worked for me twice after numerous attempts at other solutions.
(Note, when you reset all settings, you just need to add back your wallpaper, passcodes, and location services after you sync your music back on. It acts like you're deleting cookies off of your browser. Nothing gets deleted).
Hopefully this works for some of you that continue to have problems. It only takes me about 30 minutes to resync everything back in if the problem comes up in my playlist with 1,900 songs (so it's a hassel unchecking and rechecking each song that has a problem D: )

Jan 1, 2014 8:34 PM in response to wildernesshikeby kjshad,This worked for me on the iPad Air and a personally created playlist. Just to rule out any bad playlists, I removed all playlists except one to test and using that method works as a workaround. My guess is you might need to avoid any Smart Playlists using this fix.
Yes Apple needs to fix the glitch, but this is working on the short-term for my issue.

Jan 7, 2014 6:10 PM in response to Vampire...by bfr2u,Prior to reading your solution I tried Checking just "Sync only checked songs and video" under Options on the Summary Tab and was able then to sync a newly added CD to the iTunes library to my wife's iPhone 4S. Previous to that change it simply would not sync though it had synced to her iPad2.
