Dec 16, 2013 9:48 AM in response to AndrewFlintoffby jsalord,Same for me: turning off bluetooth solves the problem.
I hope Apple solves this issue in the next update. I would like to use my expensive magic mouse.
thanks

Dec 16, 2013 10:35 AM in response to seb101by Mike Erstad,I've been on the phone every week with Ed from Apple support for over 3 weeks now. He has esclated it to the engineering dept and I've got a phone appointment this Wed. evening for the results.
Basically we've been capturing the Unix commands during the time when my MacBook Air wakes from sleep and tryies to connect to Bluetooth and WiFi.
If you hold down the option key and then click on the WiFi icon in the menu bar it gives you "Open Wireless Diagnostics" Anyway this info has been sent to engineering.
Hang in there!

Dec 16, 2013 2:41 PM in response to Mike Erstadby chrismartinphd,Thanks, Mike, for staying on top of this. I know that almost none of the people with this problem will ever report it to Apple, and even fewer will take the time to see it through. So, Cheers!

Dec 16, 2013 11:09 PM in response to seb101by SystemFuchs,So guys,
bad news, I've just updated to 10.9.1 hoping that this will bring the fix for the problem. But problem still remains, wifi after sleep is working on my 2013 13" MBP RT only with Bluetooth turned off :-(

Dec 16, 2013 11:13 PM in response to SystemFuchsby Paul_31,Not sure if the problem is exactly the same, and I think I may have posted this link previously, but JAHelms posted a fix that seemed to work for a lot of people that tried it:

Dec 16, 2013 11:34 PM in response to seb101by SystemFuchs,Hi Paul,
tried that, also deletet all known WiFi networks and added them manually as described in the thread. Still the same, WiFi does only work reliable when Bluetooth is turned off.

Dec 16, 2013 11:51 PM in response to seb101by feral777,At least turning off bluetooth works for some of you. Unfortunatelly not for me... no matter if its off or on wifi does not connect after wake.

Dec 18, 2013 4:55 PM in response to seb101by Mike Erstad,Just got off the phone with Ed from apple and Engineering wanted me to be in the same room with my WiFi router and see if the problem still exists and it does.... Ed thought that this wouldn't be a problem but he has to give this info to the engineers so they forge on... He may call back on Saturday...
It's weard, I told him about the apple discussion board with regards to this problem and the 7 pages of people complaining and he said that he doesn't deal with that... ***.... it's like the CIA not talking to the FBI...
That's it for now...will repost when I know more

Dec 19, 2013 6:32 AM in response to Mike Erstadby macfinch,My router is four feet away from my computer, same place it’s always been. The only thing that changed was Mavericks.
Apple did release an OS update a few days ago, 10.9.1. They didn’t say that it addressed this issue, though.

Dec 25, 2013 7:29 PM in response to seb101by Mike Erstad,This was the last email that I received from Apple...
Hello Mike!
Thank you for contacting Applecare!
I have yet to get a good response from upstairs, so we're still waiting to see what they will say. Is there any way to test out the computer with another bluetooth device other then the speakers, or perhaps take the speakers to another network to see if we can make sure that we dispel any notions that it has to do with your home network?
Right now it appears that things are leaning towards wiping everything out and testing with nothing but the bluetooth speakers paired, no data, and a test account. I'm trying to see what else we can do before going that drastic. I really do think that you've found something rather unique in how Bluetooth and WiFi are interacting. I will keep you advised.
Regards,Anyway, I did test my laptop with another bluetooth device and another network and the problem remains the same. I've emailed my results back to the Applecare Tech and will repost when we take the next step.

Dec 27, 2013 9:33 AM in response to seb101by unton,Hi all. At last week i was bought new mbpr 13" and detect problem with wifi on wake up. I try all from this post: create new location, use only wifi and thunderbold interfeces on it, disable bluetooth, but nothing helped. Wifi was disconnected when i open laptop after night.
But when i disable checkbox "wake for a network access" on power saving options - wake up works fine!
I try enable this option - wifi dont work after sleep. Then disable - wifi works fine. I dont know how this option related with this problem, but this help to solve problem.

Dec 27, 2013 12:20 PM in response to seb101by star-affinity,Guys, does it happen for you if you're connected to AC power? I've tried to troubleshoot this a little on a MacBook Air (2013) and it only drops the Wifi after wake from sleep if it's running on battery. If the AC adapter is connected the connection doesn't get dropped when waking from sleep.
