Make sure the DVDs are not dirty, smudged and/or scratched.

Dec 12, 2013 4:58 PM in response to mcgradiby Baby Boomer (USofA),Launch Disk Utility (Finder>Go>Utilities), select the ‘stuck disc’ in the volume list on the left & then either click the <font color=red>"Eject Button, Press Command+E or choose File>Eject Disk</font color>.
Open the Terminal application in your Utilities folder. At the Terminal prompt enter or paste the following command:
drutil eject
Press RETURN.
