Open the App Store and check the "Purchases" tab.  Is Keynote there?  If so, either it says "Installed" (in which case you can use Finder to locate it), or you can update from there.

Thank you for your reply !

Unfortunately , keynote is nowhere to be seen .. neither in purchases nor in the finder ... what ticks me is that I had it before (i used it for the first time) , and it disappeared the next time I opened it !!

Only thing I can think of is that I updated my mac pro to 10.9 a while back ( used keynote only after the update ) .. Has this update anything to do with ti ? Im clueless

Yes, the Mavericks update had a major overhaul to Keynote issued by Apple at the same time.  But you should see that new Keynote in your Applications folder.  Have you also checked the Updates tab of the App Store?

Is it true that your original Keynote did show up in the App Store?  Are you signed in using your Apple ID at the App Store?  (And is that Apple ID the same as the one that purchased Keynote?)

    • no new updates available in app store . Which means Im updated.
    • I am signed in using my Apple ID ( same ID )
    • Dont know where the original keynote showed up .. but I did use it ONCE !

Do you feel that downloading and re-installing mavericks again will help ? If yes ... Any risk doing so ?

Might you have never purchased Keynote?  That's what it sounds like to me.  If that's true, then to install it on your Mac, you would have to purchase it.

I believe there may have been a beta version available at http://www.icloud.com.  You may still be able to access that version on the internet.
