But I still don't understand. Why do I need to back up my entire computer right now- just because I will remove the antivirus software. I have to go buy a large backup device for this. How is backing up my computer related to removing this program?
Why are you saying that I am going to lose my data inevitably? Is something going to happen that I am not aware of? I am confused.
Do I need to back up all my data before removing the surfing antivirus software?

I just removed the software and safari just crashed again. Can you try to give me some more support? I really appreciate it.

I will try rebooting.

Let's be clear about a couple of things. First, your need to back up is independent of anything else in this discussion. If you don't have backups, you are in constant danger of losing data, no matter what you do, and if it hasn't happened yet, that's only because you've been lucky. Every storage device is certain to fail at some point, usually with no warning, and if it's not backed up it will take your data with it. But there is no need for a device to fail in order to for data to be lost. That can happen in myriad other ways.
Second, if you had not yet rebooted after uninstalling the software, you had not finished removing it. If all you did was drag something to the Trash, you still haven't removed it.

Okay, my browser is not crashing now, however now it is extremely slow. I don't think it's my connection, because I try doing the same things with Google and then I can zip around way faster. Safari now is slow to resize and load pages. It wasn't this slow before. It just crashed all the time.

Please repeat Step 1 and see whether "com.trendmicro" appears in the output. If it does, you haven't completely removed Trend Micro.

Micro Trend was not in the output. Here is a copy paste of the output though.

I will continue this when I have completed my project in Fireworks. I have to log out and I have a lot of files open in that program that I am still using. Thank you for the support. I will probably try this tonite or tomorrow.
