Dec 12, 2013 5:43 PM in response to kwkjrby b noir,Could you post your diagnostics for us please?
In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". (If you're running iTunes 11.0.x you'll need to bring up your menu bar first to see the Help menu.) Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:
... and click "Next".
When you get through to the final screen:
... click the "Copy to Clipboard" button and paste the diagnostics into a reply here. (Use your Ctrl-V keyboard shortcut to paste.)

Dec 14, 2013 9:52 AM in response to kwkjrby b noir,That's perfect, thanks. This looks to be the problem:
CD Driver Not Available
CD Driver DLL Not Available
With that one, I'd start with solution 3 from the following document:

Dec 14, 2013 11:51 AM in response to b noirby kwkjr,Ok, I followed the directions from step 3. I did not have any of the entries listed in my registry. I did remove a gear install from control panel, add remove programs. Once I rebooted after removing the stand alone gear install, I downloaded and installed the newest gear driver. I rebooted again. When I open Itunes the same error still comes up. What should I do now?
