I am getting a white screen at start-up, but computer not booting. I have removed all of the attachments and it boots up straight away. I have isolated the 'problem' attachment as an Epson Perfection V370 Scanner. When the system has booted, I then inserted the scanner's usb and get the following message:-

'The disk that you inserted, is not readable by this computer.  Initialize-Ignore-Eject.'

I have just clicked on Eject, and the message disappears.

Any idea, why this is causing a boot problem. Why does the system think that a disk is involved? Perhaps I should reinstall the scanner.
