Q: Ipod Classic....frozen up with red "X" encircled on screen....any suggestions, since Apple wants my receipt for proof of purchase before they'll honor the AppleCare Extended warranty I wasted $$$ on?

Ipod Classic frozen up...display on screen is an encircled red "X"....restarts so no good....factory defaults do same.....suggestions?
