Q: My ipad air (latest version) and ipod Nano (latest version) does not find each other using bluetooth

I purchased iPod Nano and iPad Air 16GB. When I tried to paid with Bluetooth, none of them able to discover each other eventhough, the blutooth in both device is on and discoverable mode. Could you please let me know how I can pair them? is there any defect in the bluetooth hardware. When I tried with other Dell computer with bluetooth, both are able to connect to Dell Computer but not to each other (iPod Nano and iPad Air does not find either of them).

Please help.

Because the devices do not have the necessary bluetooth profile to pair.
iOS: Supported Bluetooth profiles
The Nano can only pair to a BT audio receiver like BT headphones or speakers.
The iPad Mini can pair to those and also the headsets (headphones with mic), and keyboard. Also, the Mini can do some this with other iPod touches, iPhones or iPads with apps like:
