Q: Can i purchase apple care for iphone bought through verizon?

Can i purchase apple care for iphone bought through verizon?  I want to upgarde thru verizon but don't want to pay a monthly fee with them for warranty. Verizon doesnt offer apple care on their website.

    You can only purchase Applecare + withing the first 30 days of purchasing the phone.

     

    After the 30 days you then have until your limited hardware warranty is up to purchase Apple protection plan

    Incorrect.  An iPhone in the USA is eligible for AppleCare+ and only AppleCare+.  There is no other alternate extended warranty program that can be added at a later date.

     

    There is no longer any standard, older type AppleCare option available for iPhones in countries that now offer AppleCare+.

     

    AppleCare+ must be purchased either with the device, or within 30 days of purchase of the device.  You can either take it to an Apple store in those 30 days to add it, or do it over the phone.

    After the 30 day eligibility period has passed, you cannot add any extended warranty at all from Apple.  You would of course still have your full one year default Apple warranty.

    After the 30 days YOU can still purchase Apple protection plan for $69, which extends your phone support just like AC+ and your hardware warranty just like AC+ it also gives you a a free battery replacement.

     

    The only difference between AC+ and Apple protection plan is that AC+ covers accidental damage.

     

    Customer who do not purchase AC+ or APP will then have to purchase a Pay-Per-Incident which is a $20 fee for each issue calling in on.

     

    Pay-Per-Incidents or PPI's last for 30 days on the one issue that they were purchased on.

    No, you cannot.

     

    An iPhone in the USA is eligible for AppleCare+ and ONLY AppleCare+.  AppleCare+ completely replaced AppleCare for iPhones when it was announced.  Check Apples own warranty pages on the web site.  You CANNOT buy AppleCare for an iPhone in the USA - ever.  It is not offered for iPhones any longer.

    I don't need to call them, and you need to stop posting completely false information.  There is no longer any AppleCare program for iPhones or iPads in the USA.  It has been completely replaced by the AppleCare+ program.

     

    If you want an Apple extended warranty for your iPhone, your ONLY choice is AppleCare+ and it MUST be purchased within 30 days of purchasing your handset.  After that 30 day window expires, there is NO option of any Apple extended warranty program for iPhones or iPads.

     

    Telling people otherwise is simply misleading.  You cannot walk in with a 6 month old or even a 33 day old iPhone and purchase ANY form of extended warranty from Apple AT ALL.

     

    Perhaps you need to actually READ the information on AppleCare and AppleCare+ that Apple provides on their web site, or call them yourself to get your own facts straight.

    And I never said anything about buying AppleCare+ after 30 days post-purchase, so I have no idea what your post is even about?

     

    iPhone, iPad = AppleCare+ ONLY.  There is no AppleCare program AT ALL for iPhones or iPads in the USA.

    No you did not, not for a new iPhone in the USA.

     

    If you purchased AppleCare from a 3rd party and think you can register it to a new iPhone or iPad serial number, then think again - it won't be accepted.

     

    AppleCare for iPhones was discontinued with the introduction of AppleCare+
