Q: can i get rid of the new version of pages altogether?

The new vesion of pages included in Mavericks was unexpected and utterly useless. Why wasn't I warned as I would never have updated to Mavericks if I was . Can I remove this awful programme altogether and revet to pages 09? Or can I remove mavericks and revert to Lion?

    Your previous Pages app is in the iWork folder in the Applications folder.

    I'm not sure what will happen if you get rid of the new version.

    If you get rid of the new version:

    1. You will not be able to open the documents used with the new Pages version, and;

    2. The Mac App Store will keep asking you to update Pages.

    KateCook, I do not recommend you to remove the new Pages version. Instead, leave it there and use the old Pages version until Apple releases an update for the new Pages version. See > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6049?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

    To use the documents with Pages '09, open them with the new Pages version and go to File menu (on the menu bar) > Export to > Pages '09.

    Also, the new Pages version is not included in OS X Mavericks
