The data from your first iPad is backed up to the cloud - a storage method. When you want to get the data back onto a device, you 'restore' the data.

A restore can take many hours.

Dec 22, 2013 9:17 PM in response to Diavonexby pb61,Nope, nothing going on there, but interestingly the photos I just took with the ipad mini are now on my old ipad. I did turn on My Photo Stream in the old ipad, as the trouble shooter suggested.
