People seem to be speaking from experience and thus I'm seeking proof one way or another.
Do you know of an Apple official page that states " No Disc Mode" is available?

* This article applies only to iPod models with a Click Wheel or scroll wheel and to iPod nano (6th generation). Disk Mode is not supported on iOS devices. You can use File Sharing with supported apps to transfer files to an iOS device.

Dec 23, 2013 12:29 PM in response to Nielby WReslow,Okayyy...Thank You both for bringing closure to my dilemma. I do have another ipod that has the wheel and can go into Disc Mode so I'll utilize that device to achieve my goal.
