Q: iTunes 11.1 will not authorize PC

I have deauthorized all my other computers in iTunes 11.1.  I have authorized the current PC that 11.1 is installed on the iPhone 4s with IOS 7.0.  I start sync and it stops after step 2 and gives this message, "The iPhone (Name) could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPhone."  So I deauthorized and authorize the PC again and get the same message.

 

Any ideas/help?

This is what I did to fix it.  I am running Win7 so I don't know if it will work on Win 8 or not. 

 

1-Uninstalled QuickTime

2-Uninstalled Apple Mobile Device Manager

3-Uninstalled Apple Software Update Manager

4-Uninstalled iTunes

5-Uninstalled iCloud

6-Uninstalled any left over Apple software

7-Restarted Computer

8-Installed iTunes

9-Restarted Computer

 

I did not install iCloud.  I was able to authorize my PC and Sync did work.

    If you've downloaded apps/songs on iPhone using someone else's Apple ID, without having authorized your computer for that ID, you will get this error. Solution: delete these apps or songs from iPhone, the sync: problem gone.

    I had tried first psych_doc's solution which did not work for me, even using Revo Uninstaller.

    I only have one ID and all apps were downloaded onto my ipad through the itunes store.  I purchased a new imac and now I can't get it to sync with my ipad.  And yes it was synced with my previous Mac but I did a transfer of information from old Mac to new so it should have come over.  I get the same thing everyone else is complaining about.  I have tried all their solutions and still no luck.

    Thanks, but this is what this whole page is about.. actually GETTING itunes to authorise when we already have..

     

    MY problem is just getting it to sync on Win8.1.!!!
