Q: i need help using copying and pasting

I just got this new mac today & i dont understand some things on this new computer? Please help?

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

Can you be more specific please?

What do you want to copy and paste? Is it in a program? If so, highlight it and use Command + C keys to copy, then click where you want to paste it and hit Command + V.

im trying to copy a text for a theme for my blog. & i did the command + c then did command + v but it didnt work.

Are you trying to copy something that is in a text document? Or is it on a website?
