Q: How to setup Canon Selphy CP900 printer over WiFi in Mavericks?

There is another thing besides this missing driver update to Mavericks. Canon doesn't provide a proper icc-profile for this little printer.  I noticed that the greens are rather dark and saturated.

I looked into the matter and found one good profile from ken.estudio@gmail.com . For 7 Euros he sent me an excellent working "Canon CP/800/900_4x6v2.icc"profile.  Put this profile in the Colorsync folder with all the other profiles. Photoshop and Lightroom can find it from this folder.

With this profile the greens are much better and  colors are more neutral. Recommended! You can install the profile  in the printersettings. In Lightroom you can use it also for softproofing. It works fine!

I can print when I connect my Selphy over usb, however once I unplug the usb - under System Preferences>Printers & Scanners, it says my Selphy is offline. Is there anyway I can get Selphy to print wirelessly?

After several hours of fighting;) countless start up the printer and the computer restarts. Everything works! Thanks a lot!

Could not save the file "SELPHY CP series Printer driver_6.2.0.1.pkg" after changes with FPE! How is this done actually?

I can't save the edited SELPHY CP series Printer driver pkg as well..redogg..help!!

First I would like to shout a big thank you to redogg for making this fix available. Second: I tried doing this step by step following the instructions and stumbled on the same problem ncollingridge got: "

There was an error reading the package. JavaScriptError." I was not able to fix this but I have some more information about it:

1. I am on a 2013 macbook pro (came with mavericks installed)

2. I downloaded Auxiliary tools for xcode - february 2012 and launched flat package editor from there

3. I followed the instructions exactly but got the java script error when trying to open the package

4. If I open my modified SELPHY CP series Printer driver_6.2.0.1.pkg file in FPE and drag the distribution file to the desktop I get an empty file! I guess this is the problem but I have no idea why I get this.

Anyhow:

I was able to download and install the installer from redogg. I will have to wait another week before I am back where the printer is but I have high hopes that it is working now (based on other peoples success)

I downloaded and installed your updated driver but now I encountered another problem.. I attempt to print from iPhoto and I receive an error from the Selphy CP900 driver that says that I am attempting to print an unsupported paper size error number 15512.

Called Canon and they spent quite a lot of time and suggested that I have a network problem.

The printer works perfectly from an IOS device and in the past worked fine with OSX 10.8.

I used Redogg's file it all worked fine.  Great work thanks for the fix.

I just received my Selphy for Christmas and followed all instructions and still cannot get this to work.  Any other suggestions?

I plug it into my computer it shows up fine, but once I unplug it says printer is offline. I have rebooted and still the same. I can print from iPhone and iPad with no problems.

Any chance your expertise stretches to the following error message that is displayed once your gratefully received package worked to install the printer..

Printer open failed.: -9781
