Q: is there any other place that the serial # for a MacBook Pro can be found?

Is there any other place that the serial # for a MacBook Pro can be found. I purchased this on Ebay and it functioned fine for 6 months and then it comes on with a blank screen.

MacBook Pro, iOS 7.0.4, Display is not functioning

Open About this Mac in the pull menu under the Apple in the upper left hand corner of the montior

On mine at least, it's etched into the bottom cover. It's very tiny and on the screen hinge side of the casing.
