You are talking to fellow users, not Apple.
Will this help? https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5710326?tstart=0

Dec 27, 2013 6:33 AM in response to DDS9907by Yellowbox,Hi DDS,
No worries. This a time of turmoil, but fellow users in this forum can help to calm the troubled waters. The biggest stuff-up that Apple made was to announce the new Numbers as an 'improvement' with no warnings about what was lost. And no warning that Numbers 3.0 would 'snaffle' any Numbers 2 document that was"accidentally" opened and edited by the (default) Numbers 3.0. That is now fixed by a warning in Numbers 3.0.1
There are many added features (better compatibility between OS X and iOS is the main one, but there are other improvements).
The second stuff-up from Apple is automatic updates. You can turn this off in System Preferences > App Store:
I allow 'Automatically check for updates' but not automatic downloads.
Here is my Boiler-Plate reply :
Many features have been lost in Numbers 3. You can send feedback to Apple with Menu > Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback.
