I thank my Apple tech friends for encouraging me to pursue the truth with Netflix.  Netflix misguided me during my first conversation with them, pointing the blame at Apple.  My second conversation changed direction and they told me the truth.  Netflix is working on the mirroring problem their app has.

    Talked with Netflix tech today and was told that the Apple TV does not support Netflix with the iPad 2 anymore.  I need to upgrade to a newer generation iPad.   Is this true?  If so, why can I still Airplay CNN videoes?

    If you have an AppleTV, why not use the Netflix app on the device?

     

    As for Netflix not being supported on the iPad2, that sounds like a load of manure.  The iPad 2 can run the latest version of iOS so there is no reason why it cannot use Netflix or AirPlay.

    Thanks for the responses.  Netflix admits that they are still developing the mirroring feature and I can only use the Apple TV to view the movies at this time.  They give no time frame for correcting this.  I choose the iPad Netflix app over the AppleTV app because there are more and varied movie selections on the iPad Netflix app....which Netflix just admitted was true.
