Do I have to set up a separate apple id icloud account to be able to let others access our family appleTV without letting the be able to access my personal icloud info?? Please take me thru step by step.

Having an Apple ID has nothing to do with accessing the AppleTV.
Turn it on and select the content desired using the remote.

What are you really trying to accomplish?
