Hi to users in this group.

Could somebody please check and confirm that a file from within the root directory - System File Folder should be present or not..

autoimporter.app

/System/Library/Image Capture/Support/Application/AutoImporter.app/

Following this path, the autoimporter.app is missing from my system although there is a file   importimage.bundle   ??

The problem being is with autoimporting images from my DSLR to view full screen automatically as I shoot, I can download images from my camera but only manually after clicking each individual image in turn.

I bought Capture Control Pro from Nikon thinking this would resolve things, I've also tried various other demo software but it's all the same problem.  I've also tried using the build in app, Image Capture, same problem again which makes me think that something isn't quite right with the mac os x on my laptop

Any chance please that somebody who users Leopard 10.5.8 could check this, possible send me that file if it exists ?

My DSLR is tethered using  Firewire Connectivity.

PowerBook G4 - Leopard 10.5.8

Thank you,  Regards, Paul..

I can't answer your question categorically, all I can say is that I do not have that file.

    Hi,

    G5/10.5.8/FW800, no AutoImporter.app here either!?

    NoAutoImporter.gif

I wonder what installs it? Do you have iLife, or some other Aple App installed?

Regardless of software you may use, when you shoot, can you preview your image automatically to full screen without having to manually import them from your camera ?

    No to that here.

Back up one level to /System/Library/Image Capture/Support/Application/ and you should be able to open AutoImporter.app from there.
