Dec 30, 2013 1:25 PM in response to Winston Churchillby wicounselor,Thanks but I was looking for something a little bit different. A friend showed me on his iphone the app "Find my iphone." On it, he is able to see where his daughter is at all times without her knowing it. With the find friends app, it looks like you have to ask them to allow you to follow them. As their parent, I want to be able to see where they are. Do you know anything about the Find my iphone app? How to get their phone to appear on mine?
Thanks

Dec 30, 2013 1:27 PM in response to wicounselorby David Menzel,You could use the 1. "Find My Friends" app and connect with them like in other social networks (https://www.apple.com/apps/find-my-friends/)
or
2. you would have to set up your iCloud account as primary iCloud account on their devices (Settings > iCloud) and activate "Find My iPhone" in order to track their devices with the "Find My iPhone" app.
I personally would suggest "Find My Friends", although your kids could hide their location, if they intent to do that.

Dec 30, 2013 1:28 PM in response to David Menzelby wicounselor,Thanks. Yeah, I don't want them to be able to hide their location. So your #2 sounds like what I'd have to do - make my iCloud account the primary on their device.
Would that delete any iCloud account they have? Their phones are all thru my account.

Dec 30, 2013 1:38 PM in response to wicounselorby David Menzel,Please note, if you choose option 2 and you would set up your account on their devices that they could turn on your Mail, Calendar, Contacts etc. and see, edit and delete your content. Furthermore they couldn't use their accounts anymore e.g. for photo stream, to backup their devices and store content like files and other app data (gmae standings) in iCloud, because this is only possible with the primary iCloud account (and this would be your account then).
But if you would like to proceed, you would have to delete their accounts from their devices first (Settings > iCloud) in order to set up yours as the primary one. Then you could set up their accounts in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > iCloud, but as I said, they couldn't use all the services anymore.
As I said earlier, I personally would prefer the more transparent option 1 without the service limitations.
