Dec 30, 2013 5:34 PM in response to Epoch1by Russ H,★HelpfulIf FCP thinks your system meets minimum specs, so should Compressor.
With all the export options in FCP, are you sure you need Compressor?
Anyhow, what are your system specs?

Dec 31, 2013 6:51 AM in response to Russ Hby Epoch1,Thanks Rus,
Actually I realize now that FCP is not letting me export a movie, and compressor shows that it won't run in Mavericks. Is it possible that when I upgraded to Mavericks that it did something to FCP 10.0 so that it is not working correctly?
I am working on a Mac Pro early 2008 2x2.8 ghz quadcore with an ATI Radeon HD 2600 graphics card.
I think I was on 10.7 and FCP was working fine. I upgraded to Mavericks and when I go to try and do an Export Movie nothing happens. It does not get to the export window.

Dec 31, 2013 6:50 AM in response to Epoch1by Tom Wolsky,★HelpfulYou really mean 10.0.0, like the first version? Doesn't work with Mavericks. You need to update the software.

Yes I think your right that was it, FCP runs and shows the project but does not export.
I don't suppose 10.1 is a free upgrade either

Dec 31, 2013 7:55 AM in response to Russ Hby Epoch1,Yes Russ I disovered that the card is not compatible with 10.1 or compressor 4.1
I created the project in FCP with Mavericks and it is now not letting me open it in my older system 10.6.8

Jan 29, 2014 9:09 PM in response to Epoch1by Teela,I had a similar issue with mavericks FCP 10.0.0 (i know, teaching version can't upgrade) and compressor 4.0
Luckily I still had OSX 10.8 on a different volume. Booting into 10.8 FCP10.0.0 recognized my project and I was able to share my project using FCP share, but I assume compressor 4 would work as well.
