I tried several apps. CopyTransfer Photo, Photo Transfer app, Simple Transfer app.
I would like to get pictures in iphoto with the original filename.
I want to use iphoto to create an webstory. I like this because you can make a nice photostory with smaller pictures, but when you cick on them you get the full picture. I don't know another app that does this.
All the apps change the filenames to img_xxxx.
IT worked with Synology Ds file. But only by picture by picture. This takes forever.
When I sync my photo album (from Aperture or iPhoto) to my iPad using iTunes, the filenames remain the same in iPhoto on the iPad, when I browse synced album. Have you tried syncing with iTunes?
See this link: iTunes: Syncing photos
This seems to work.
How do you organize your pictures? I have a leading directory Italy. In this i have subdirectories for each day, where the pictures are stored.
When is synchronize in iTunes it puts the pictures of all different subdirectories in ons album : italie_2008
So i get 1500 pictures in one album. This is a bit difficult to work with.
I normaly work with Adobe Lightroom on a Windows 8 pc. Which is great in organizing.
And I mostly with Aperture on a MacBook Pro, which also is great in organizing a photo library. When I sync Aperture albums or iPhoto albums using iTunes, they will appear as separate albums in iPhoto on the iPad.
I hope, someone will be able to recommend an application for Windows 8, that can be used to sync albums/folders from iTunes.
