Q: Transfer files and external storage

Hi, Thank you for reading my questions which are, can I transfer iphoto, version 5 images, itunes 7 library music files and other data from the emac to the mbp? What connecting cable would be required? Additionally what external hard drive would you recommend for both the emac with USB1 and the MBP with USB3? Thank you for an anticipated helpful reply. Hello Cym,

Since the MBP has no Firewire ports anymore, or even an Ethernet port, USB1 could work, but mighty slow, Apple does sell Thunderbolt to Forewire, or TB to Ethernet adapters...
*This model does not have an internal Ethernet port. However, an Apple Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet adapter is available for US$29.

Best drive would be one with Firewire & USB3, which would require a 6pin<->9pin cable to use on the eMac's FW 400 port, (about 20 times faster than USB1)...
