You can see the model number in Settings>General>About>Model. The model number has a two-letter code, a number and some more letters. The last part stands for the country/region. The first letter can be "F" (refurbished), "M" (normal retail), or "P" (personalized / engraved). For example MC605B is the model MC605 and B is for the region.
What country does my device belong to?

Jan 2, 2014 9:13 AM in response to Nimalen87by Phil0124,MM is the identifier for CDMA Compatible Devices. CDMA like GSM is a cellular technology type.
However, the GSM Sim card slot is what is important in the device. Whether they can be activated with a CDMA carrier is irrelevant to an iPad as they dont use CDMA technology for anything. All iPads connect to Cellular services via GSM.

For information on your iPad (model, date of production, etc), enter your serial number at this site. Information, based on the serial number, will be shown. http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html
