Q: just bought my daughter an iphone 5s for her birthday and she's opened it but we can't eject the sim card

but we can't eject the SIM holder? Any suggestions? Would really appreciate any help!

    Did you not get the tool included to open the sim card tray?  It should have been included in the phone package and you need to insert it and press down hard - press in hard and then pull the sim tray out.

     

    Also, where did you buy the phone? Was it directly from Apple and with any particular company?

    If you do not have the tool that is normally included in the box, try using a straightened paper clip. Introduce it in the little hold and press downward to lift the sim tray.  You can then slide it out with two fingers.
