Q: can i back up iPad,iMac,macproc all device to be backed up to time capsule

Yes

 

I bought a Time capsule Not clear ?

 

I have mac Pro with 250 GB all photos's

 

I have new i mac with 1 TB ?

 

I have 3 diff   iphones

 

I have 3 diff  ipods

 

i have 2 diff  ipads's

 

I have Lot of Pic in old external drives which needs to bought to new i mac and  stored.. I am really confused how to proceed?

 

is 2TB enough? or 3tb to better to go with?

    You are better keeping the photos on the external drives as backups.

     

    You can of course also copy the photos to the computer and then use Time Machine to backup.. you do not want to copy the photos directly to the TC.. that is not the way to store them. TC is for TM backups.

    iOS does not backup to a TC.. it backs up to icloud or itunes.

     

    If your local itunes is being used to backup the devices then the iTunes will be backed up by TM to the TC.

    You can add extra capacity to a TC by plugging in a USB drive.

     

    Or as many as you like via a powered hub.

     

    But the USB will be slow.. so best to keep your files on a

    very large hard disk installed in the Mac Pro since it is the only computer that you can add standard drives to..

     

    Load in a couple of 3TB drives in there and use that via the network.
