Jan 8, 2014 11:24 AM in response to CD MANby danorton2014,Your email address is your “Apple ID”, which is the same ID used for all Apple services, including iCloud, iTunes, Apple Store, iChat, &c., so to change your email address is to change your Apple ID. (There is no need to create a new Apple ID, and doing so will abandon all your stored settings and registrations with the old ID.)
There are some important restrictions and steps you need to follow, so I recommend completely reading this related knowledgebase article before the final step of changing your email address:

If that’s the case, when you log in to manage your Apple ID, you will be prompted to ”Make your Apple ID and primary email address one and the same.” Unless you have a good reason not to, I urge you to do that.
